The tattooed hottie who seduced him is Caroline O’Conner (Brea St. Inside Jarrod’s dead heart, Kara discovers a spider tattoo, which turns out to be a parasitic alien organism. Kara decides to team up with James (Mehcad Brooks), still hilariously contemplating a Senate run, and investigate the mystery herself, since William won’t give anything away even after she confronts him.
Unfortunately, Andrea (Julie Gonzalo) arbitrarily disagrees, and William backs her up, saying he has looked into the story and there’s nothing else to it, though his elevated heartbeat gives away his deception. Jarrod’s death is kind of a big deal, especially to Kara (Melissa Benoist), who knew him, and thinks it’s just a wee bit suspicious for a researcher of gene therapy to suddenly die young.
